Reaching our initial goal of $500,000 is a meaningful milestone for the SRS Hot Atom Fund and a clear reflection of the community’s belief in this effort. What began as a way to honor the legacy of leaders like Dr. Michael J. Welch has grown into a shared commitment to support the next generation of radiopharmaceutical scientists. As the field continues to evolve and expand, so does the need to invest in early career researchers who will shape its future and translate new ideas into real impact for patients.

This next phase is about building on that momentum. Our focus now turns to growing the endowment so it can support more awards, reach more young investigators, and extend opportunities across a broader global community. Because the fund is permanently endowed, every gift strengthens its long term stability and increases what it can provide year after year. Continued support will help ensure that promising scientists have the resources, connections, and encouragement they need to move the field forward.
